"Daffodil"
Blue, Red, Green

When you look at a soda tab, what do you see? When you see bottle caps, what do you see? When creating "Daffodil" I saw a flower.

Recycling can be fun and quite beautiful.

The texturing and different layers of colors on this one is pretty amazing! This is a one-of-a-kind original!

I love this art form for so many reasons. The texture is probably #1. Next is that this is a way to recycle junk. It just feels like so many things have such a short life, that finding another use for them just seems right to me. I like what can be created, I like the imagination sometimes required, and, I have fun doing it!

Because so many people look at art and say "I could do that" I welcome newcomers to this art. Please let me give a little safety advice to those who may consider joining me in this adventure. First, since construction-grade adhesive holds items so well, it is recommended. Otherwise one good yank from someone (and trust me, adults do this as often as children) and all your work will be lost. When using this adhesive, I recommend using a chemical cartridge breathing mask, not a dust mask, and working outside. Secondly, wear gloves. The adhesive will get on your hands and can be absorbed into your skin if there is not protection. Finally, I wouldn't recommend this for children or pregnant folks, since the adhesive may cause bad things to happen. I recommend the same precaution when using the paints.
